In the trenches.

This next project, I’m really trying to capture the spirit of the subject matter. Rather than just sculpting another solider to be used in another diorama, I really want this to bleed emotion. Hopefully, I have bitten of more than I can chew and Im able to learn some valuable lessons and grow.

1/24 HQ Kingswood

Building things outside the norm is something I truly enjoy. When I came across a 1/24 Holden Kingswood model, I knew I had to build it. For me, painting and building always present an opportunity to attempt something new and develop new skills. This particular model is one of four that I pre-ordered, consisting of two Monaros and two Kingswoods.

The first one I built was a replica of my friend's Monaro, who is currently restoring his 1/1 scale version. The second model is currently being built to spec, but I'm converting it to a HZ Premier. With this one, I wanted to focus on creating subtle panel damages to add character and texture, enhancing its realism.

The final model in my collection is an HQ, which I'm preparing for the upcoming scale model expo. I have a feeling it will be something truly special, showcasing the culmination of my skills and dedication to the craft.
